The Namesake Label is a personal project - it is a concept of a brand that exists without a known creative director, coined the "halo effect." So many luxury brands operate this way, leveraging the concept of the designer to establish itself amongst its competitors. I thought it would be a fun concept to work with. Additionally the second dimension of this brand is to be a caricature of luxury brands, as being a commentary of the homogeneity in the industry and its branding practices. Ultimately, it is a brand that seeks to spark diaglogue about the fashion industry as a whole, and question what a brand identity does and means in today's digital age. Currently, this project is still being worked on and will be periodically updated.
